CEF Annual Executive Leaders Retreat: June 9-12, 2024 in Stowe, VT

Were among a dozen ZEMBA members who collectively committed to purchase the environmental attributes associated with over one billion twenty-foot shipping container-miles of zero-emission shipping on a route from Singapore to Rotterdam, Netherlands in 2025-2026, which should collectively avoid at least 82,000 metric tons of CO2 equivalent. Apple
Announced that over 18 GW of clean electricity now power the company’s global operations and manufacturing supply chain, more than triple the amount in 2020. 16.5 GW came from 320 of its suppliers (representing 95% of it’s direct manufacturing spend). The company has also launched new partnerships to deliver 6.9B gallons in water benefits over the next 20 years. These include efforts such as restoring aquifers and rivers, and funding access to drinking water. PR »

Chevron
The company’s venture capital arm launched its third Future Energy Fund, with a $500 million commitment, to invest in “novel low carbon fuels, advanced materials and transforming carbon to higher value products.” AXIOS »

Committed to no deforestation in the company’s supply chains for the palm, cocoa, and fiber it sources by 2025. These ingredients make up 14% of ingredient- and packaging-derived GHG emissions, much of which come from land use changes. PR»
